April Fools Day is celebrated every year by people playing practical jokes and hoaxes on each other - 1st April 2017 was Rosie and Sam's wedding day and there was not an April Fool insight! The wedding was also held after midday - when jokes have to end!
I arrived at The Bull, Wrotham just before the ceremony to capture Rosie in the last stages of bridal prep and Sam drinking nervously with friends and family in the historic Kent bar before meeting Rosie as she walked down the aisle.
Weddings at The Bull, Wrotham are held in the beautiful buttery function room - a 600 year old building full of character.
Rosie and Sam's exchanging of vowels was just beautiful - full of love and lots of laughter. It is so beautiful to be able to capture natural wedding images of couples, natural smiles are without doubt the best!
We were lucky enough to dodge April Showers and after the Kent ceremony we headed off to the nearby Great Comp Gardens to capture the spring gardens in all their beauty - including blossoms perfect for any country wedding day! I love encouraging my couples to interact rather than stare at me whilst taking pictures - trying to keep my Kent wedding photography natural based but always looking to add a bit of creativity.
We headed back to historic Wrotham where the guests were seated at the bar in the midst of a wedding day quiz written by the Bride and Groom, capturing some portraits outside The Bull, and were even able to capture a rainbow - as we again missed a heavy downpour! Rain on your wedding day is lucky a rainbow is just amazing!
Rosie and Sam partied in to the evening - enjoying a yummy hog roast - and I had so much fun. The Bull is a fantastic place to get married, enjoy scrolling through a selection of the pictures.
